The relationship between big data and intelligent manufacturing can be summarized as follows: Mass data will be generated during the problem occurrence and settlement process in the manufacturing system. Analyzing and mining such data helps understand the generation process, impacts and solutions of the problems. After abstract modeling, the information will be transformed to knowledge, which will be used to identify, address and avoid problems.
