Two significant sources of air pollutants present challenges to ozone pollution control in the California South Coast region. These pollutant sources are the petrochemical industry and the ports. The situation on the California South Coast is similar to that in some port areas on the east coast of China, particularly at Hangzhou Bay. It is hoped that this interview will help us understand how the California South Coast region can monitor, analyze, simulate, identify the source of and assess the ozone and its precursors. Understanding how to support the development of pollution reduction measures, based on such efforts, is another crucial interview goal.
