The Beijing Fun Public Art — Focus Plan will be initiated in May 2017 in Beijing Fun, Dashilar. Organized by Beijing Guangan Holding Co., Ltd., executed by the Public Art Center of the China National Academy of Painting and the China National Academy of Painting ∙ Themed Latitude Public Art Institution, and supported by the China National Academy of Painting, the Focus Plan combines the current public art concept which has the features of the times with the 600-year urban emotion for the first time, and collectively promotes the art/design forces that have the most attraction, contemplative force and fusional power on the public art platform of Beijing Fun, Dashilar, a block with centuries-long history. We feel very honored and sincerely invite you to attend this Public Art — Focus Plan project as the art/design force as the representative of “urban Spiritual leader”. As an “immersive experience field” that indicates “urban renewal” and “new Chinese-style aesthetical block”, the Beijing Fun Public Art project will enable more people to be part of the “construction” of urban life, and facilitate the improvement in city scape and life experience amid the cross-disciplinary and trans-regional cultural and historical thinking.

当今具有时代特征的公共艺术观念，已经与传统的公共艺术观念大相径庭。“公共艺术”让城市坐标不再单一，让生活的边界无限延展。“北京坊公共艺术－焦点计划”所邀请的中外艺术家和设计师都是代表当代最具前瞻性、创造性以及能用最具冲击力的观念与视觉手段改变既往生活空间形态的艺术旗帜先锋。此次项目将集中于公共雕塑、城市家具、互动装置、街道设施、建筑投影、视觉传达等领域，并由著名艺术家、建筑师领衔，以年轻而富有公共艺术经验的艺术家、设计师、建筑师为主，形成一支强有力的公共艺术创作队伍。其作品将主要呈现于“北京坊”建筑群焦点空间位置。同时，在静态呈现基础上，还将开展与之相关的公众对话、工作坊、露天多媒体展映、互动体验、并与国内外最优秀的文化媒体展开密切合作。此次北京坊公共艺术－焦点计划还将出版相关画册，并通过国际、国内顶尖媒体宣传报道。

The current public art concept with the features of the times is totally different from the traditional one. “Public art” has made city coordinates no longer simplex and contributed to the infinite extension of life boundary. The Chinese and foreign artists and designers invited by the Beijing Fun Public Art — Focus Plan are all artistic banners and pioneers who stand for the most forward-looking and creative thoughts of the contemporary era and are able to change the previous form of life space with the most powerful concept and visual means. The project will focus on public sculpture, urban furniture, interactive installation, street facility, building projection, visual communication and other sectors. A strong public art creation team, led by well-known artists and architects, will be established with young artists, designers and architects equipped with profound experience in public art as the main players. Their works will be mainly displayed at the focus space of the architectural complex of Beijing Fun. On the basis of static presentation, the project will simultaneously carry out relevant public dialogue, workshop, outdoor multimedia panorama and interactive experience, and engage in close cooperation with the most outstanding cultural media outlets both at home and abroad. The project will also publish relevant album and be publicized and reported by top-notch international and domestic media groups.
