君子之风
Jun-zi

 

君子，是中国人自古以来始终追求的理想人格和道德典范，在《易经》、《诗经》、《尚书》、《论语》等典籍中，人们均用君子的行为范式作为处世的标准，时至今日，依然深刻影响着中华民族。
Jun-zi (man of noble character) is the moral paragon with ideal personality that the Chinese have always pursued. In ancient times, people conducted themselves in society following the paradigm of Jun-zi, according to the books and records such as I Ching, The Book of Songs, The Book of Documents and The Analects of Confucius. Even to this day, Jun-zi still has a profound impact on the Chinese nation.

古往今来，大凡生命和艺术的“境界”，都将有限的内在精神品性，升华为永恒的无限之美，国人对“梅兰竹菊”的喜爱与推崇，表现了他们对时间秩序和生命意义的感悟，也使其幻化为君子精神的象征，成为咏物诗和文人画中最常见的题材。
Throughout the ages, the “state” of life and art has always been raised to a higher level of eternal and infinite beauty from confined inner spiritual qualities. Plum blossoms, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum are commonly seen in the object-chanting poetries and literati paintings. Chinese people's love and praise of the four plants manifest their understanding on the order of time and meaning of life, which makes them as the symbol of the Jun-zi spirit.
 
兰倚春风，竹沐夏雨，菊凌秋霜，梅傲冬雪。在翡翠艺术珠宝作品中，君子的精神境界以符号化和艺术化的设计语言得以表现。系列作品将翡翠、钻石、彩宝、白金以中国传统艺术韵味的方式进行极富创意的空间设计，并以镶嵌的形式进行完美诠释，充分体现了东方美学的特点，非常直观地表达出“梅兰竹菊”所代表的君子品德。
Orchid grows against the spring breeze, bamboo is bathed in the summer rain, chrysanthemum is assailed by autumn frost, and plum blossoms flourish alone in the winter snow. Jun-zi’s mental outlook is presented through symbolic and artistic design language in the works of jadeite art jewelry. This series of works features highly creative space design with jadeite, diamond, colored gemstone and platinum in Chinese traditional art style, as well as perfect interpretation in the form of inlay, which fully embodies the characteristics of oriental aesthetics and intuitively reflects Jun-zi’s noble character that is symbolized by “plum blossoms, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum”.
