Xi’an XD Switchgear Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “XD Switchgear Electric”) is a core subsidiary of China XD Group Corporation (“Group”), a large Chinese power transmission and distribution company under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC). Formerly known as the Xi’an High Voltage Switch Factory, the Company was founded in 1955 and listed as one of the 156 key projects in China’s “1st Five-year Plan”. After 57 years of development, the Company has become a major base for R&D, manufacturing, sales and services of high voltage, and extra-high (ultra-high) voltage switchgears, and a bellwether in China’s high voltage switch industry.

公司2001年改制为西安西开高压电气股份有限公司，2009年更名为西安西电开关电气有限公司，目前注册资本13.39亿元，占地面积约28万平方米，现有在岗员工2903人，2010年实现营业收入30.05亿元。

The Company was restructured in 2001 and became Xi’an XD High Voltage Electric Co., Ltd. In 2009, it changed its name to Xi’an XD Switchgear Electric Co., Ltd. At present, the Company has RMB1.339 billion of registered capital, an operation area of 280,000 m² and 2,903 staff on the payroll. The Company’s operating income in 2010 reached RMB3.005 billion.

西开电气作为我国高压开关行业的排头兵，承担着促进我国输配电装备技术进步和为国家重点工程项目提供关键设备的重任。50多年来，公司的发展与国家的能源、装备战略密不可分。公司参与了新中国成立以来国内输配电领域几乎所有的重大工程，从我国第一条330kV、550kV、750kV、1000kV超（特）高压交流输电线路，到“三峡工程”、“西电东送”等国家重点工程，西开电气产品无处不在，为国家电力建设做出了积极的贡献。目前，公司生产的气体绝缘金属封闭开关设备（GIS）和SF6断路器（GCB）均获得了中国名牌产品称号。在国际市场上，公司的产品和技术已出口20多个国家和地区。“XD”已成为行业中的国际知名品牌。

As a bellwether of China’s high voltage switch industry, XD Switchgear Electric shoulders the responsibility of advancing China’s power transmission and distribution equipment technologies and providing key equipment for China’s major engineering projects. Over the past 5 decades, China’s national energy and equipment strategy has facilitated the Company’s growth. The Company has participated in almost all domestic key power transmission and distribution projects since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, including China’s first 330kV, 550kV, 750kV and 1000kV extra-high (ultra-high) voltage AC power transmission lines, the Three Gorges Project, the West-to-East Power Transmission Project and other key national projects. XD Switchgear Electric has made positive contributions to the establishment of China’s power facilities with its prevalent products. At present, our gas insulated switchgears (GIS) and SF6 generator circuit breakers (GCB) are entitled with China’s brand products. With regard to the international market, our Company’s products and technologies have been exported to more than 20 countries and regions. “XD” has now become an internationally renowned brand in the industry.
